After School Activity Clubs
We have a good choice of clubs available for families to choose from each term. Clubs range from drama and dance to sports and pottery. Children really enjoy the clubs; both for what the club is offering and for the social aspects.
We work closely with our providers to ensure children get the best possible experience each week delivered by committed and quality tutors and coaches. Where possible these tutors and coaches are also supported by existing Woodberry Down staff members.
Clubs run from 3.30pm until 4.45pm (unless stated otherwise). 3.30pm – 3.45pm is snack time; please provide your child with a light healthy snack. If your child attends a dance or sports-based club please do send them to school, on the day of their club, in their PE kit.
Summer Term – Clubs can now be purchased.
Please purchase via MCAS if you are interested.

The club operates in cycles, with our main goal being to help as many children as possible learn to ride confidently. Once your child is considered a confident rider, we will inform you, and their place will be offered to another child on the waiting list.
To make the most of our time with the children, group sizes are kept small. If your registration is not successful, your child will be placed on our waiting list.
Helmets are compulsory. If your child has their own helmet, they must use it. We also have a limited number of helmets available at school for children to borrow.
We ask that all participants wear suitable clothing, and that hairstyles take into consideration the need to wear a helmet comfortably and safely.
Please note that weather can be a significant factor. While we will do our best to continue in light rain, sessions will be cancelled if conditions are deemed too wet or unsafe. Families will be informed of any cancellations as early as possible.

Homework club is a space for children to complete homework that was set the previous week. The aim is that they give the homework a go at home and then can receive support completing or understanding the set tasks. We aim to have fun but remain focused. Children do not have to bring the homework with them – everything will be provided.
We understand that children attend homework for various reasons and may be at different levels and aim to ensure that we deliver the best support whilst keeping the children engaged and enthused. In order to achieve this, we constantly liaise with their class teachers and speak to the children at the end of every session.
